Miller Buckfire was founded in July 2002 and quickly became a market leading investment bank focused on corporate restructurings. Today, we are a diversified corporate finance and strategic advisory firm, helping our clients address complex transformational issues – recapitalizations, acquisitions, sales and divestitures, and debt and equity financing transactions.
Other investment banks provide these services but, at Miller Buckfire, our background in restructuring teaches us to look at the world differently. We understand what can go wrong and can identify the warning signs. We know how to avoid problems and the best remedies when problems cannot be avoided.
We differentiate ourselves with our staffing model as well. Even among boutique investment banks, Miller Buckfire provides to its clients the senior banker attention they need. We offer our clients focused teams of highly-trained, experienced and successful professionals. Our senior professionals came together in the late 1990s at Wasserstein Perella & Co. Since then, we have been remarkably successful at retaining our talent and building a firm that maintains an intense collaboration internally and with our clients.
We have raised more than $58 billion in capital for our clients, advised on mergers and acquisitions valued at more than $16 billion and advised on the largest restructurings in nearly every industry sector. In recent years, we have also been recognized for our leadership role on six “transactions of the year” by the Turnaround Management Association.
We're proud of this track record. But we're far prouder of accomplishments that don't show up in league tables or newspaper headlines: the countless times when we and our clients, working closely together, achieved the successful outcome that others thought impossible.
