Derek Herbert is a Director of Miller Buckfire.  Mr. Herbert’s experience in capital raising and advisory work covers a broad range of clients, including Clearwire, Crown Castle, Time Warner / AOL, Time Warner Cable, Penn National Gaming, Wolverine Advanced Materials, Coca-Cola, Hallmark Cards, Alcan, Loral Space & Communications, Telesat, DigitalGlobe, Skyterra, Hughes Communications, Iridium, WildBlue Communications and ConEdison, among others.  Mr. Herbert was previously a Vice President in the Media & Communications investment banking group at Morgan Stanley.  Prior to that he was an Associate at Monitor Clipper Partners, where he completed a number of principal investing transactions.  He began his career as an Analyst at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette.  Mr. Herbert has a B.A., magna cum laude, from Harvard College.
