Ken Whipple joined Miller Buckfire's Board of Advisors in 2004.  Mr. Whipple is currently Chairman of the Board and former Chief Executive Officer of CMS Energy Corporation.  He has been a member of CMS Energy's Board of Directors since 1993.  Prior to CMS, Mr. Whipple had a distinguished 40-year career at Ford Motor Company, spending time as Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Ford Europe.  In 1988, Mr. Whipple was promoted to Executive Vice President of the Company and President of the Ford Financial Services Group.  He took on the added responsibility of Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Ford Credit in 1997.
 
Mr. Whipple is also Chairman of the Board of Korn/Ferry International.  He previously was a Director of Associates First Capital, Galileo International, AB Volvo and JPMorgan Mutual Funds. Mr. Whipple has been a United Way leader and board member for many years, setting a record as Torch Drive Chair and serving as Chairman of the Board.  He is a member and past Chairman of the Board of Detroit Public Television station WTVS and Chairman of the Board of Detroit Country Day School.  Mr. Whipple has a bachelor's degree in business and engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
